Alex Carlisle was our best cross country runner as I recall, even when he had a plaster cast on his forearm. I also recall, for some reason, that he was a bird spotter.

Hi Karl, long time!

I never heard from Alison again but I did run into Corrine Blatch (virtually) in America a few years ago. She was doing very well in diplomatic circles. From 5/1, I see Alex Carlisle and David Samuel occasionally too.

I see you have done very well for yourself too!

Damn! I graduated from there in 1970 and missed all the fun. RR Presley and Mr Brown would not have approved. It was also all boys back then – the girls were in a separate school in those days.

In reply to Tracey. Great to see memories of this legendary event being kept alive. I am Karl S and I d.j'd that night with Co d.j Dickie D. I was suspended for a week. This did not go down well with my dad as he was Deputy Head of a large comprehensive nearby at the time. I was summoned to Sennet's office because a teacher had overheard two pupils commenting on my state that night. I do recall being aided out of the first assembly back in January ( when we were being lectured about drinking ) as I had over celebrated my birthday the night before. Was so chuffed with the sixth form solidarity at the time.
