In other words, it was not a matter of the government overruling a family decision, it was a matter of a family split over the decision and taking each other to court. It was not a group of social cdonservatives deciding to intrude on the privacy of the Schiavos, but the parents of Terry seeking help where they coujld find it. Incidentally, the lawyer who represented the husbvand in this case was an activist in the Right to Die movement. The courts agreed with the husband and the l;awyer in case you have forgotten.
