Undertime

Posted on December 1st, 2006

These three circumstances…

  1. My company is moving office today so I’m working from home but have no access to any of the resources I need to actually do work
  2. I am exhausted from the combination of an illness that has lingered way to long and working crazy hours on a super-secret project
  3. The God Delusion has arrived

…have conspired to convince me to put in a little undertime (don’t tell my boss).

I promised myself that I would resist the urge to quote everything Dawkins says but my resolve only lasted to page 65. This one was irresistable.

If it’s a theologian you want, they don’t come much more distinguished. Perhaps you don’t want a theologian.

And a Merry Christmas to you too!

I just received The Brights bulletin which has some useful suggestions for when someone wishes you a “Merry Christmas”.

Here’s what I like to respond:

Merry Christmas!

I absolutely cannot stand the anemic “Happy Holidays”. I am firmly with Bill O’Reilly on that one.

All part of being a cultural Christian, I guess.
